The concept for this movie is good, it has some funny parts, and of course everyone loves Tom Hanks, but doesn't anyone notice how sick it is? A 13 year old having an intimate relationship with a grown woman? Even if he's in a man's body, he's still only 13. If they had made him 15, it could be acceptable, but not 13. And the woman doesn't seem to feel any sort of guilt or disgust when she finds out he's only 13 in the end. 13 going on 30 with Jennifer Garner uses the same basic concept as Big but handles it much more appropriately.

I never buy movies. After I watch it once, it’s a waste, for me. Except for this one. I absolutely adore this movie! It’s very well done, and not over the top. You’re able to suspend disbelief. The scene, in the bathroom mirror is so perfect, you believe a 12 year old kid woke up in a grown man’s body. It’s an introduction to Tom Hanks’ acting ability. Without a single word spoken in the scene, he convinces you that it’s real. He’s a twelve year old, who woke up as a grown man. Believability is never lost in the storyline, it just gets better and better. Amazing movie!
