One of the most tragic and amazing films I've ever seen. Definitely worth watching!

I love this film, it is one of my favorites of all time. The writing is bloody brilliant, set ups/pay offs are littered throughout the film, almost too many to count. Not to mention the dark humour is amazing, check out six-shooter if you liked this movie, a brutal short by the same director.

In Bruges has a decent plot and believable characters ... all-in-all "a freakin' fairy tale".

I'll say this - the plot is original and quirky, but calling this a 'dark comedy' misses the mark - call it a tragic comedy. The first half does well enough setting the plot up, but somehow it begins to fall apart with all the f-bombs dropped as if there wasn't another curse-word in the dictionary; the drug party is awkwardly shoehorned in, and from there it is pure torture to watch. By the end, two of the foul-mouthed gangsters is dead, and the screen fades to black as the one you hoped would get away is being hauled off in an ambulance as he's wondering if he'll wind up in hell - or Bruges. Or more likely, the icu section of a nice prison. If guns, drugs and dropping f-bombs in an ancient European city is your idea of fun, by all means, watch it. If not, then beware.

As the parent of small children, I found an important scene greatly disturbing. I wish I had been forewarned by the friend who recommended this. I would have skipped this movie.

Strange plot of hitmen on the lam in Bruges. Brendan Gleason plays the pivotal character between Farrell and Fiennes, and only he could pull it off. Somehow, this film feels real, even though it goes places that simply could not be. Well done, all around.

Colin F deserved the Oscar for this role. Entire conversations play across his face, and his performance overall was top notch!!! All other actors were great in this too. Funniest funniest movie, an absolute favorite now.
