The 9th film from Quentin Tarantino features a large ensemble cast and multiple storylines in a tribute to the final moments of Hollywood’s golden age.
Made it halfway
An hour and a half into the movie and I still don’t know what the plot is and, even worse, why I should care. Mostly follows Leo (Rick Dalton), but then we get lots of scenes following around the driver (Pitt) or his neighbor (Polanski). Nothing is propelling the story forward. There is no antagonist. There is no crucible. Just following around a daytime has-been who’s depressed about his sinking career. Trying to mimic some of the style of Sergio Leone, but without the magic.
It’s long and boring
I literally was trying my hardest to like this movie, but it just didn’t have nothing to offer, the biggest star in this movie was a little girl who didn’t do nothing but have a decent dialogue exchange. I can’t believe this is given 4 or 5 stars by anyone. Waste of time and money.
What the ...????
I only watched because I think Tarantino movies are more like a joke and this one is no different. The story is non sense and it had to have that weird Tarantino touch. Hopefully the rumors about he being invited to direct the next Star Trek movie are wrong. If you want to laugh about how weird this movie is...buy it.
What a great film 🔥 100%
Other than the big names that star in the movie it’s not worth the rental. Terrible movie - that simple. Traveler011
The movie sucked until the last 30 mins
By blackman's prepective
90 mins of story telling and then finally some freaking action... come on man!! Definitely a RENTAL not a Purchase
What a tribute! Wow
Thank you Tarantino! A tribute in the most romantic way. Thank you for giving those lives a better ending than they had historically. ❤️
I’m a fan and this was boring
Stylization aside, not worth the rental fee let alone a purchase.
This movie could have done so much more with these fantastic actors. I feel like this was a snipet of time showing us a narrow window of what was going on, forced from the directors point of view. That coupled with a struggling once famous actor who is starting to loose his mojo and passion for the business.
