Dani and Christian are a young American couple with a relationship on the brink of falling apart. But after a family tragedy keeps them together, a grieving Dani invites herself to join Christian and his friends on a trip to a once-in-a-lifetime midsummer festival in a remote Swedish village. What begins as a carefree summer holiday in a land of eternal sunlight takes a sinister turn when the insular villagers invite their guests to partake in festivities that render the pastoral paradise increasingly unnerving and viscerally disturbing. From the visionary mind of Ari Aster comes a dread-soaked cinematic fairytale where a world of darkness unfolds in broad daylight.

  • Brilliant

By far the best horror movie Ive seen, to have it set in basically complete daylight, made it all the more unique!! Disturbing beginning and an in depth story. You catch more things everytime you watch it, and the realistic portrayal of a pretty nasty relationship. Overall creepy and super interesting. Cant wait to buy the DVD!!!!
  • Don’t do this

Seriously, what a snooze fest. Don’t do this to yourself. Probably the most boring movie I have ever seen. I cannot think of any good points to this movie. How it’s listed as horror beyond me. Go watch Bambi.
  • Good Well Made Movie

This movie is One of those movies in which you either walk out the theater or wherever you watch it and say ”what did I just watch”! Or you say wow that was one of the most unique beautiful movies I’ve ever watched! That’s all I got to say
  • If your girlfriends mad, watch something else

It’s kinda the same basic concept of wicker man. It’s definitely slow and will make you hate anthropology students even more than you already do. The creepiest part is that it could happen in real life and you would know until it’s too late.
  • Love or hate, mostly hate

Guess you either love or hate this movie. For me and my friends we didn’t enjoy it and thought it was too slow for the most part, it tries to wow you with certain horrible or wacky events and elements but falls short. The screaming and crying was over the top and over acted, just ridiculous acting. Ultimate break up movie? Not so much. He was drugged and didn’t deserve what happened, but it’s a movie and something, kind of interesting, thankfully happened, eventually. If you really want to see it it’s free on PRIME.
  • Midsommar is Dope

    By Nicholas becerra
Midsommar is one of the most weridest and traumatic expriences i seen in a while rather than being scary and horror it devols that trope and beats a whole different level with random scars and brutal and graphic scenes makes Midsommar i a fun and mind twisted ride
  • Mind numbing histrionics

I did not like any part of this movie. I felt like I was being indoctrinated into a hippie cult, befitting white robes, plenty of flowers of the field and mentally unstable and schizo idiots. What the hell was the point of this film? It made me gag with the raw depiction of ritualized imitation. Like, whatever noise or cry or shout one makes, these occult witches and wichens mimic the exact same sound. If you are into ritualistic group orgies, then I think you have found that film. Revolting.
  • Movie purchase did NOT come with director’s cut

    By Mtp1983
Very disappointed that this purchase is just includes the theatrical release. Purchase promised a director’s cut as an ‘extra’ but no extra’s showed when purchase was made. Very disappointed considering Apple TV was the only place to purchase Director’s Cut version.
  • No, Just no

Save your time and energy for something better - perhaps paint drying. This had been so hyped, I was really excited to watch it. I ended up watching it twice to make sure I wasn't being harsh. It's just awful. I was convinced that this would bring something to the horror genre, but it didn't deliver a full package for me. It looked pretty, but the overall story arc and acting was not well executed. It feels like Florence Pugh was cast because they couldn't afford Brie Larson - and it shows.
  • Thought provoking

Had the opportunity to watch this movie and all I can say is wow! It was a solid film that is worth the watch.
